ISIS terrorists stood at the gates of Baghdad

The Iraqi authorities face a dilemma: to rearm or to send Shiite militias supported by Iran into battle. The solution is more difficult because Ramadi is a city where the majority of Sunnis live. It is difficult to assess how indigenous peoples, who may fear pogroms and purges carried out by Shiites, will behave in such a situation. Besides, their concerns are well-founded. When the Shiites recaptured Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, after taking control, there were murders and acts of revenge against the Sunni residents of the city.
Insufficient training of Iraqi soldiers by American instructors may contribute to the greater involvement of Shiite troops. This is due to Iran's greater role and influence in Iraq, which will lead to an expansion of its sphere of influence in the Middle East region. Such actions and closer cooperation with the Americans in the fight against Islamists strengthen the prestige of Iran, which is becoming a serious and reliable player in the eyes of the whole world.
The Pentagon is trying to downplay the role of the capture of Ramadi. A Pentagon spokesman asks reporters not to overestimate the incident. Colonel Warren also spoke about large-scale offensive operations across the country. He added that the conquest of Ramadi by ISIS is an episode that only adds another task to the overall strategy, that is, the return of the city.
What the United States calls the episode worries the Iraqi authorities. The Government of Haider al-Abadi is concerned about the development of the situation. In connection with the capture of Ramadi, an order was given to mobilize additional Shiite and Sunni troops in Baghdad. The authorities also invited Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehan for consultations.
The increased intensity of raids on Islamist positions in Ramadi did not bring the expected results. The Americans will probably have to cooperate with the Shiite militias, that is, directly with Iran, in order to recapture the city. The operation to retake Mosul is likely to be postponed over time. For this reason, the city of Tikrit was taken, which was supposed to become a base for preparing an offensive on Mosul. The conquest of Ramadi and the opening of the road to Baghdad greatly complicated these plans. Now the country's authorities have focused their efforts on protecting the capital and "deterring Islamists" from Baghdad so that there is no threat of capturing the city.
Barack Obama's strategy for the Middle East, North Africa, and the widely understood fight against terrorism is beginning to unravel. The air raids themselves do not bring the expected results, the unpopular (among the population) ground operation, which was not carried out, today leads to the spread of jihad throughout the region. The situation in Yemen is difficult. The recent defeats of the Assad regime in Syria and the formation of a coalition of Islamist groups led by Jabhat al-Nusra are also not encouraging. The bolder and more frequent attacks on the Sinai Peninsula and the chaos in Libya are plunging these regions into an ever-widening abyss of destabilization. Bloodshed, executions, and mass killings are beginning to gain momentum. https://indiepulsemusic.com/2025/04/01/what-are-the-current-ways-of-exchanging-cs2-skins/
